What is 'Catch hook and thin-wall' of plastic mold products?

What is 'Catch hook and thin-wall' of plastic mold products?

1. The Catch hook

The catch surface and the amount of catch hook are the important basis for the test data during assembe.
Once made any tiny mistake about these numbers, It would become a huge mistake of the product.

Therefore, during mould design, We needs to pay special attentin to the catch hook assembly and testing.

2. The thin-wall
What is the big problem about thin wall?
The binding point is particularly easy to press and brittle, Then could't pass the test.
It will be difficult to assemble in the next step,
The product will be uneven filling, shrink, and easy broken.

What's the properties of POM?

Polyformaldehyde (POM) thermoplastic crystalline polymer. Known as "Super Steel" or "Sai Steel", The English abbreviation is POM. Generally, polymers obtained by formaldehyde polymerization have a low degree of polymerization and are easily thermally depolymerized. It can be used as a raw material for organic chemicals and synthetic resins, and as a fumigant for drugs. 1.General property POM  is a hard, dense material with a smooth surface and gloss, light yellow or white, thin-walled partly translucent. Combustion characteristics are easy to burn, and continue to burn after leaving the ignition source. The flame is yellow at the upper end and blue at the lower end. Melting dripping occurs and has a strong pungent formaldehyde smell and fishy smell. POM is white powder, usually opaque, good coloring, specific gravity 1.41-1.43 g/cm3, molding shrinkage 1.2-3.0%, molding temperature 170-200℃, drying conditions 80-90℃ for 2 hours. POM's long-term heat resistance ...

Useful Tips for Custom Titanium Manufacturing

JY Machinery offers high-quality precision and cost-effective CNC machining services for   custom titanium parts   to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Custom Titanium alloy manufacturing is mainly used for the production of aircraft engine compressor components, followed by the structural parts of rockets, missiles and high-speed aircraft, and related medical accessories. The density of titanium alloy is generally about 4.51g/cm3, which is only 60% of steel. The density of pure titanium is close to that of ordinary steel. Some high-strength titanium alloys exceed the strength of many alloy structural steels. Therefore, the specific strength (strength/density) of titanium alloy is much greater than other metal structural materials, and parts with high unit strength, good rigidity and light weight can be produced. The aircraft's engine components, skeleton, skin, fasteners and landing gear all use titanium alloys. The Reasons Why Titanium Is Hard to Machine If you want t...
